Frequently Asked Questions

  • To be honest, the water from your home filter is not nearly as pure. The average home system typically has a small media filter and one carbon filter. So all the stuff that gets taken out by our process, stays in your home water. Do you really want bacteria, viruses, bio-solids, pharmaceuticals, MtBEs, Chromium-6, and who-knows-what-else in your drinking water?

Additionally, many home filter owners start out with good intentions, and soon they’re growing a biology experiment in the filters! We keep a rigorous maintenance schedule on our water, recharging our filters to keep them fresh each week, and then changing filters before they are due. We also pay an independent lab to test our water every week.

Finally, of course - does your home filter system oxygenate the water? We’ve never seen one that does …

  • Yes, adding RO to your home system definitely helps.

However, our industrial RO unit is designed to allow exactly one molecule of water through, at a time - and nothing else. This requires a high-pressure pump that forces the water through the membrane. Our system also continually flushes the RO filter to remove contaminants - we don’t know of any under-the-sink systems that do this.

  • Well, Cielo is oxygen enriched. And ultra-purified (see the Water page for a detailed description of our purification process).

But if you like asking hard questions, here’s some for the other guys to chew on:

    - “Have you enhanced your multi-media filter with specialized sand to better remove metals?”
    - “Do you do a triple-pass on your carbon filtering?”
    - “Is your micron filter, a 1-micron filter?”
    - “How long does your product sit on the shelf before you deliver it, on average?”

And that doesn’t even get into how they run their business.

    - Do they require contracts - and if so, why don’t they think their product quality and customer service are good enough to keep you as a customer?

    - When you call them, can you talk to a real person who makes every effort to answer your questions and solve your problems?

    - Do they charge any other fees, except for the water itself?

    - Can you choose the weekly frequency that they deliver on (from every week, up to every 10 weeks)?
    - Do they allow you to customize the products and quantity for each order?
    - Are they a public benefit company? Or are the shots called based only somebody looking at the “bottom line”?

    - Do they make you feel valued as a customer?

    And so on …

  • Cielo Blue is our base water. It goes through the entire purification process – no step is skipped, because we don’t want anything yucky in your water. Then, while we bottle it we dissolve in medical-grade oxygen.

For customers of our Premium products, we build on our excellent base water with enhanced oxygenation – putting more of that good stuff in the water, so it’s even smoother, lighter, and sweeter.

If you’ve had Cielo in one of our ½-liter or 1-liter bottles, that’s our Premium water.

  • The pH of Cielo is in the neutral zone, which extends from 6 to 8 (with the body pH being 7).

  • It is completely up to you. Our professional drivers deliver water to hundreds of homes and businesses across the greater Austin area. Typically they will leave the water at the front door and pick up empty bottles that have been left out for them. But we can handle all sorts of special instructions for how you want the delivery to be made.

  • All of our plastic bottles are BPA-free. We were the first company in Texas to go completely BPA-free with our bottles.

We also offer a 3-gallon glass bottle for customers who desire this option. For glass bottles, we do require a $20 deposit per bottle delivered due to the expense of these bottles.

  • Sometimes we’re asked, “Why is your water more expensive than other companies?"

Our response: “Is it - really?” Maybe not, once you add up their:

    $$ Delivery fees

    $$ Fuel surcharge fees

    $$ Bottle cleaning fees

    $$ And so forth …

Our prices are all-inclusive. You know what you will be paying, and we don’t slap you with hidden fees and extra charges. Nor do we start our customers at one lower price, knowing we will raise it after a few months. Then raise it again. We just don’t think that is how business should be conducted. With Cielo, what you see is what you get.

  • Day & Night Waters (DNW) is the legal name of the company that manufactures and distributes Cielo, the product. It’s a little like Anheuser-Busch (the company) which makes Budweiser (the product).

The reason we named the company that, is our hope that one day we’re selling so much water, that we have crews bottling water day & night … which also connects to our larger vision of a day & night prayer room onsite in our community.

  • We have a map on our page of Retail Locations that sell Cielo. Go get it!
